Frauki and the Mother Prism | Let’s Play [Demo] Slashing and Smashing

The demo showed potential of how Frauki and the Mother Prism can be a great game. It was short but sweet, you get the idea of where the creator is heading with the game and I was disappointed there wasn’t more. The animations flow well and the enemy designs are creative, particularly the robots or evil spirits with the red swords! I enjoyed the level design and I’m hoping to see areas that are more open. Other things I would like to see would be upgrades for Frauki through her progression such as different attacks, more mobility such as quicker dash, and etc. You should definitely try this game if you love action platformers!

I was wondering, how did you get into game development? I want to learn but I have no idea where to start.

Honestly, you just gotta start. Try game maker or construct 2, or just jump right in to programming! LOVE2D is cool, Phaser is great, there’s lots of options. Getting over the first hill, of just making an actual game, no matter how simple or small, will put a lot of wind in your sails! Then you’ll be making masterpieces in no time. Good luck!

Your demo is incredible! The option to roll and flip in the air is SUPER user friendly I always get annoyed when games only let me walk. The various types of slashing are really cool and overall art style is beautiful!

Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed it  :D

I made a demo of the game! If you haven’t tried it yet, this is your chance! It’s only a fairly small first section of the game, but gives a taste of what it will be like. You can download an exe for windows, or just play in your browser if you prefer. Check it out here:

Or, just watch Mr. ProfessionalNoDev play through it!

Feedback is welcome and reblogs on this are appreciated. Thanks friendos
